By the end of this class you will gain hands-on experience with deep learning and be familiar with all major topics in deep learning. You will be able to handle real-world problems with deep learning solutions.  

This class are for those with no background in deep learning, or with some background but want to gain more systematic training in deep learning.

Schedule details

The classes will happen on Sunday 1:30pm-4:30pm, with lecture, lab and Q&A session

Location:  Mountain View, CA (specific locations will be emailed when you sign up)

Week 1 

     1. Overview of Machine Learning Basics

     2. Introduction to Neural Networks and Deep learning

Week 2 

     3. Introduction to Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and image processing

     4. Advanced CNN, including ResNet

Week 3 

     5. NLP and Word2Vec

     6. Recurrent Neural Networks and an application

Week 4 

     7. LSTM (advanced RNN) and an NLP application

     8. Attention model (including transformer)

Week 5 

     9. Reinforcement learning and its applications

     10. Deep Reinforcement Learning and an application 

Week 6 

     11. Advanced topics

     12. Project presentation and Review

Students are formed into project teams, with 2-3 people in each team. You can ask questions with all other students in our student center.
